MEET THE TEAM: PHIL
Phil has been baking for over 35 years, including three years spent in France, three years at the Eden Project in Cornwall and two years at an organic bakery.
His favourite thing to bake is artisan bread and he enjoys working at The Bakewell Bakery as he gets to use hands-on, traditional methods of baking every day.
MEET THE TEAM: KEV
Kev has been a baker for 30 years and also enjoys baking artisan bread.
He enjoys using traditional methods of baking and loves the fact that all of The Bakewell Bakery's products are fresh and made by hand here in Bakewell.
MEET THE TEAM: LEE
Lee has over 22 years of baking experience and finds the whole baking process extremely rewarding.
His favourite baked item to whip up is sourdough bread and he enjoyed working at the Bakery thanks to his colleagues and the sense of teams spirit.
MEET THE TEAM: BILLIE
Bille started baking at home when she was seven years old and hasn't looked back.
She loves the creative aspects of working at The Bakewell Bakery and her favourite thing to create is a chocolate brownie as she loves to try out different flavours and add her own twist.
Billie also loves the fact that the Bakery is local to her family.
MEET THE TEAM: FIONA
Fiona has been baking for almost a decade. She loves to try out new ideas and particularly enjoys working on the aesthetics of products.
Her all-time favourite product to bake is scones as she 'just loves them' and she enjoys working at The Bakewell Bakery because she's always learning something new.
MEET THE TEAM: SIMON
Simon has over a decade of experience as a baker. He enjoys the creative side of baking and loves as job as he feels that no two days are ever the same.
His favourite thing to make is a Bakewell Tart because he enjoys completin each stage of the product before having the finished item.
Simon loves working at the Bakery because he gets to use traditional methods.
MEET THE TEAM: RICHARD
Richard has been a baker for an incredible 40 years.
He loves his job because of the people he gets to work with - as well as the fact that he loves sausage rolls and cake!
MEET THE TEAM: RICHARD
Richard has over 30 years of experience as a professional baker - although he had a brief interlude as a teacher for four years before coming back to baking.
He loves to bake artisan bread and enjoys working at The Bakewell Bakery as he thinks it's a great environment.
MEET THE TEAM: TOM
Tom has been a baker for the last 13 years.
He loves baking artisan bread - particularly sourdough - and has been at the Bakery for just over six months where he has been made to feel very welcome.
He loves working with the team, "they're a good bunch", and most enjoys eating the Bakery's freshly baked cookies.
MEET THE TEAM: ANGIE
Angie is The Bakewell Bakery's accomplished technical and quality manager who has worked in the food industry for over 25 years. She began her career at a small bakery in Buxton before transferring to their sister company, a plant bakery, where she undertook roles including packing, stock control, production planning and buying before moving into the technical side.
Her favourite Bakewell Bakery products are Bakewell Tarts and Puddings ("anything with almonds and lots of calories!") and enjoys the variety her job brings, including overseeing a small, friendly team and taking a product from concept to successful launch.
MEET THE TEAM: NICOLA
Nicola is finance and payroll manager at head office and holds a degree in Law and Business.
She loves anything with white chocolate, so the Bakery's blondies are her favourite, with almond croissants coming in a close second.
Nicola's favourite thing about working at the Bakery is the variety in her role, meaning no two days are ever the same.
MEET THE TEAM: NINA
Nina is our sales manager and has three decades of experience in the food and drink sector after joining a national company in their sales department.
Her favourite item from the Bakery is our Great Taste Award-winning original Bakewell Pudding and she enjoys working in the beautiful areas of the country we supply to.
MEET THE TEAM: NICK AND JEMMA
Nick and Jemma Beagrie founded The Bakewell Bakery in 2011 out of their belief in preserving traditional artisan methods of baking.
The couple also run a number of other businesses in the local area including The Scotsman's Pack at Hathersage, The Wheatsheaf in Bakewell, The Bakewell Book Shop, The Old Original Pudding Shop and online business The Wine Waiter.
